When I woke up this morning, I made a promise to myself that today would be better. In some ways it was and in others it was just as exasperating as yesterday. I spent most of the afternoon at the hospital with Earl. Poor thing. He's fine, but will have the rest of the week off. I hate it when my own are sick and not feeling well. It brings out that God Awful mothering instinct I have. And well, I love to be needed.
Talked to Janie tonight for a good long while. The crazy woman has gone and decided to hold a plotting workshop! Dixie Belle, if you think you're getting out of this scot free honey, think again. If I have to play so do you! Hrmph! But in all seriousness, Janie. Love you, I do. I think this is a good thing. You are a wonderful teacher, look what you have done with me! My God, a year ago I couldn't string two coherent sentences together twice in the same paragraph. Just think what pearl drops of wisdom you might impart to someone who struggled so like I had done for years.
I must say that meeting and working with Janie is one of my proudest moments as a writer. (Yes, I'm talking about you Janie) She took this pea hen brain of mine and opened the door wide open. She introduced me to writers like like Tanith Lee, Jane Yolan, Neil Gaiman, Robin Mckinley, and so many more I cannot even name them all. (btw, if you haven't read Gaiman, you must! It should be like a law somewhere or something. Don't read Gaiman? Go straight to hell! Hmmm...can you cuss on a blog? *shrug*) Anyway, back to sucking up to Janie. (Evil grin) I do believe that the Mad Hatters are correct, Janie has so much information floating around in her brain that to play there would be like a month spent at Disney land. Hugs Janie, for all your goodness! And Thanks to Fred, who gives you that freedom to be all that you can be!
Here in North Carolina we are about to be pounced upon by not one but two Hurricanes, if they can sustain that status for long. Bonnie and Charlie. Shouldn't they be called Bonnie and Clyde? Who are those weather people that they missed that grand opportunity? It's a shame, I say.
Michelle finished reading Immortal Highlander last night. Lost sleep. But I love Karen Marie Moning's books. For one she does not head hop and for that she will forever be a favorite. I love her books. And she can write some of the most endearing characters. Kudo's Karen where ever you are! Great book and well worth the 15.00 for hardback. Now where is Darroc's book? Huh? Tell me that!
Let's see, what have I been reading lately? I decided I needed to feed my brain. So I have been reading THE NORSE GODS & Folklore...Great book. It's written where even I can understand it. (Truly a feat) I love it. Love the stories. I finally get Loki now, that trickster! Shame on you Loki!
Oh, and if you are a writer make sure you get the dictionary of synonyms and antonyms! I'm such a goober! I love this dictionary. Does it make me sick that I love dictionaries? Hmm...will have to think on that! Well, anyone who knows me realizes that I'm not quite right in the head. But hey, I learn fast.
Well, I'm closing for the night...May everyone have a safe and productive day tomorrow!
Hugs,
Michelle

Well,
I only wrote half that stuff to suck up to you! Tee hee hee! I don't know where Dixie Belle is! Call her and tell her she has to come out and play! Tell Fred to take care of the Madhatter and not to forget about listening to Howard Stern. Hopefully all will go well today with the mad hatter!
Um...Earl is on percacet, so he is very agreeable today! (Yeah me!) Plus he is getting a new truck. I told him the happy dance he did day before yesterday is what moved that darn stone and caused him so much pain. He was not amused. So good drugs for him...I'll have to take him to the doctor tomorrow afternoon, but otherwise all is well.
And you are so right! I am still waiting on my Easter box but that is all right. You've been waiting for you box for um....since your birthday in June! Heavens, where does the time go!
Michelle
