Black Friday and my head hurts

I could really care less about Black Friday. I actually laughed at the news tonight. I know people love to shop and get bargains. I do. But for me to get up at 5:00 a.m. to go spend my hard earned money seems like nonsense to me. I want to hold on to my money, and I guess I'm from the old school where I feel like retailers should have the specials all day. I hate being manipulated. That is what the retailers are doing, a mass manipulation of the American public and of course the majority of us fall for it every time. The only items I would have been interested in purchasing were the 49.99 7" portable DVD players. (My Mother wants one) But I'm not interested enough to get up at 5:00 a.m. There are not many things that would have me rising at the butt crack of dawn. And shopping is certainly not one of them. (btw...our Wal-Mart only had a select few of the DVD player thingies and were sold out by 7:00 o'clock. Therefore once you are in the store, and they no longer have what you came for, you go spend that money on something else I suppose or buy the more expensive version while knashing your teeth.

Yep. Big time Manipulation. I hate that.

And tonight my head hurts. I've taken three Ibuprofen and it still hurts. So much so that I feel sick to my stomach. Ugh! Too much turkey perhaps? A possibility.

Last night I started writing a short story. Something that just came to me. I am writing it in the old fairy tale style. I'm writing it for fun. I'm going to send it to Janie so she can have fun too. This in hopes that she'll send me something worth reading. LOL.

Anyway, Happy Belated Thanksgiving and I hope that my friends either had fun shopping or had fun staying at home today!
