Honey, it's cold outside...

Brrrr brrr chilly chilly
Is everyone staying warm? I'm beginning to doubt that my fingers are ever going to get warm and have actually contemplated cutting the fingers off my knitted gloves to stay warm.

I would like to say happy early birthday to my sister who is getting ready to turn the B-I-G "30" next month. Woot!

Well, I have another interview tomorrow for a different place so we'll see how that goes. I'm ever hopeful. LOL.

Other than trying to stay warm, I've been writing.
on the 21st I wrote 1727 words
on the 22nd I wrote 2006 words
on the 23rd I wrote 2145 words
and today I've written 531...(today has been a sucky day-what can I say)

I only hope that the work I've done is worth a hoot. I'll see next week when I go back and really look at it. But I am writing from a short outline so we'll see. That helps.

B&B total word count for Friday 25,758

Still thinking on TWAB and trying to decide how I want to go and think I after I finish B&B that I may just have to write it and see how it goes. It's not like I can't re-write it if I hate it.

So things here are good if not cold.

On a side note I really miss my playlist. I may have to add it back, but I know it irritates people.

2 Days and Counting...Almost ready

I'm trying to decide if I'm ready or not. I've got both lead and love interest character sheets done (which took up a better part of this week) and now I'm working on weaving their growing attraction for each into the book. This is a quest book, but a romantic quest. Must go here, accomplish this thing and be back or such and such will happen with less than desirable results if you fail all while falling in love.

This weekend I've got to get my study clean, the house and laundry caught up, really clean study and not just talk about it [I cannot find a blooming thing in here. I've got books piled on top of books and little itsy bits of paper floating around everywhere. It's extremely distracting]cook several meals ahead of time and put them in the freezer. Load up all the water bottles for morning and afternoon trips to the barn, and basically get ready to write.

Inahle and count to ten.

I'm ready.

Seventy days of sweat starts on Monday. I'll be finishing up my plot notes and things Saturday and Sunday in between doing everything else so that come bright and early Monday morning...we begin.

*grin*

I'm really excited. I've been doing a lot of exercises trying to make sure that I don't jump the gun and not letting myself day dream the story and other than a few online friends no one knows I'm doing this. It's kind of a well kept secret.

I'm going to finish this puppy. I've done the prep work, and soon it'll be time to write!

Inspiration

How important this is if not exhausting. Creative people need creative ways to keep that well of inspiration flowing freely. I do a lot of things to remain "in the moment" and last night I became obsessed with one. A video. It is one of my favorite ways to keep my creative well flowing. It is a visual aid I suppose but also an emotional one. Music speaks to me and runs through my veins like rush of starfire burning until I have no choice but to give in to it. So I made a new video and I really love it. It turned out so much better than I thought, and this little bit of inspiration from another movie helped a lot. It gave it a theme. (This was written on Thursday night--I'm a little bit behind in posting updates to the blog)

After making that video, watching it about a million times, I realized I've got to go back to the begining of my story and give it some more depth with it being an info dump. Ah ha...therein lies the clutch because you can't have an info dump in the beginning of a book because let's face it said book will go bing bang boom up against said readers wall. And that's just not good for anybody. So I'm gone back and am fixing the beginning chapter. It's really important to get these things done and get the setup and everything right when you are writing a first draft off of a very rough outline. (Meaning maybe a sentence or two at this point in time for an outline) So a lot of work on that tonight.

Finished 828 new words tonight and I'm nearly done with this 3rd chapter and it might even really end up being the 4th chapter. Crap I don't know right now what it is and have named it "Freeing the devil and why did I do such a stupid thing." ROFLMAO
Hopefully one day you'll all see why I just said that. Janie might know already.

Anyway.

I'm going to bed now...
