Whoopeeeeeeeee!

The Block for Spells is done. Oh my Gawd! I finally did it. I cannot believe it. I'm a very happy camper this morning. I feel like I'm on top of the world. It's all typed into word. My laptop is finally fixed. Yeah!Well, and I went and got a firewall for the sucker too so that it doesn't explode on me again. Considering I lost half my block the first time, I don't want to take that chance again.

This past weekend I went back to Charleston to pick up Megs. Wow! Everything was so beautiful. In Azalea Park they have the most wonderful hammocks. Meg's, Mother and I crawled into one and just sat there swinging looking up at the sky making cloud pictures. I think that is the closest I've been to heaven in a long time. A sense of peace surrounded me that I have missed. Simple pleasure in small things. Appreciating what is around you, those that love you, and loving them in return.

I let Mother read Susan Kay's Phantom of the Opera and she has not been right since. She called me this past week in tears. She told me that I couldn't have the book back. Well, I black mailed her and told her she had to give it back and that if she didn't give it back to me that I was going to hold her copy of Louis L'Amours THE HAUNTED MESA captive until she did. She wasn't extremely pleased so now I have to find her her own copy. Janie gave me this copy and I'll never part with it. Never. That story is like a ghost that haunts your dreams. It stays with you forever and ever. No, I'll never part with it now. Thank you for that Janie.

Well, I'm back to drafting on SPELLS. It is slow going. I've been studying Connie Brockway's dialogue and some others. So we shall see what we shall see, but I'm excited to have this much work done. I've got to re-work some character work before I really get into the meat of the story. I have finally finished writing Devin's history before this story. I didn't really realize how much that would help me, but it has. It's given me a inside knowledge that helps when writing. I'm hoping that it will show in the book.
