At least for people that are shorter than 5' tall. LOL
When summer boredom sets in Snickerdoodles are the cure. It keeps busy little hands at work not to mention Mom in sweets. I love Snickerdoodles. Love Cinnamon. Is there anything better? Hmmm...maybe Oatmeal Raisen cookies but I don't have all the ingrediants for that today. So we'll just have to make do with snickerdoodles.
Okay on to important matters.
Spells: Yesterday I did roughly about 700 words on Spells. Most of this was a re-write. Cutting one character out of a beginning section. Then I needed to re-do notes. The pacing wasn't fast enough and as usual I try to give away all the answers to soon. That would be fine if this was a novella but it is not. It is a 90,000 word work. So again, you must think about the pacing. Too fast and the heart of your reader might explode by spontaneous combustion. Too slow and they close the book. Geez, what a fine line we writers must balance. All for the love of a good story eh?
Boxers: I did roughly 300 words on this. Not much but they were good words and I knew what I wanted to do with it. It was a slow section of introspection with a bit of foreshadowing thrown in for fun.
All in all not a bad day's work yesterday.
Today I'm back at the plotting wheel for Spells and then will write the next section since I have fixed my plot once again. *sigh* Novels are ever changing things aren't they?
Hope everyone is having a good Friday!

I'm trying to figure out whether to move a flashback scene from chapter 2 to later, but there wouldn't be anywhere to put it. I need to just leave stuff alone before I screw everything up! LOL! Sometimes too much fiddling is bad. Very, very, bad.
Also, I'm with Janie. What the heck is a snickerdoodle?
Tanya
I'm confused, too. What are snickerdoodles????!!!!!
LOL...see next post for definition of a Snickerdoodle.
Tanya: flashbacks are tricky things. I try to avoid them if I can by bringing them in through diologue or someone listening to or over hearing a conversation. I know that sometimes it cannot be avoided though. Wishing you luck on that one.
Hugs everybody!
