I'm awake...

Sleep eludes me. Images floating in my brain won't seem to go away tonight. A friend of mine and I had a discussion about this today. Clocks, and the writer or artist, seem to be an oxymoron don't they? The old saying that I'll sleep when I'm dead comes to mind.

The problem is you need to be rested to create. No matter what you create.

Actually the dog woke me up. She's getting older and she doesn't pay attention to clocks either. Days jumble into night and night jumbles into day. The only difference is in the lighting I supoose. One has the sun and the other the moon.

I didn't get my study cleaned as I'd hoped to do. Interuptions. Lot's of interuptions in the summer when the air is hot, languid and still. They wonder why we southerners move slower? Come spend a summer down south and you'll see why we have evolved as we have. Laughing. Nothing moves fast in the deep south when summer comes to call. The sky gets hazy. Have you ever noticed that? In the winter the sky is crisp and clean with a nip in the air. Summer, however, is whhen everything becomes just a little bit blurry.

I met my goals again today. Crazy as it might seem. It's almost comical to me. A game to be played like a child. Funny how one has to fool themselves isn't it?

Oy...perhaps I shouldn't blog in the middle of the night when the night winds whisper. Dangerous things happen at night under the cover of darkness...when all should be in their bed.

*grin*

I'm going back to writing...I've got the right tone for it.

Good. You need to get back to work woman! However, you are forgiven. Your son only gets married once right? Hugs and hope you had a good time tonight!
