Music of the Night...

I love this song. How appropriate it is for a writer, or specifically for me as a writer.

The night comes alive for me. The soft quiet sounds that only darkness can bring...My imagination takes flight in the heart of the night. Bold bright words come to me, begging for attention. Character's breathe upon your neck as you write their lines, and when you are extremely fortunate those same characters may whisper in your ear...

I found a beautifully done website tonight about the Phantom of the Opera. The address is http://www.phantomoftheopera.info

This site is filled with wonderful information. Insiteful things that are desperately trying to pull me away from my current work. I will resist it though but I'm being tugged at hard.

However, "I" am in control these days. Not my wandering brain. I demand of myself control and restraint. However, the above link is a very interesting trip into the history and coincidence of the Phantom of the Opera. I hope you enjoy it.
I know I certainly did, and thank you Leatha for allowing me to share your work.

There are worse things in life to be doing than living in a fantasy with the Phantom of the Opera. The power to dream, even in the day is what makes us human and keeps us sane, even though dreams and obsessions have been known to lead us to madness or even cruelty.

You are kind. Self-absorbed, yes. Totally. But you are giving too. My life is the better for knowing you.

How odd?

How beautiful.

Janie,
You touch my heart with your words. You always do. Nothing you write is without thought or care. Every word, every syllable even, is gone over perhaps once twice and sometimes three times before committed to paper and pen.

You, my dear, dear friend are the most wonderful mentor and teacher a student could ever ask for. You do not puff us up with smoke and mirrors but are honest with us. That in and of itself is a rare gift. Your gift of honesty. That and of motivation. You inspire me to do better, be better than what I am...

And I AM the better for knowing you...
Forever your friend,
Michelle
who is very self absorbed at the moment...*grin*

Ruby,
You will not regret going to the movie. However, you may feel like an emotional wreck when you come out. It is very, very intense and touches the soul. The music is brilliant. The actors and actresses are wonderful. However, for me, Mr. Butler steals the show...When you see it you will understand what I mean. It is well worth every hard earned penny you will spend to see it.
My Best,
Michelle
