I'm stuffed, well fed, and oh so thankful.
I made it through the Thanksgiving Holidays unscathed. Plus I got a new car or rather should I say I got a new "SUV"
Fred is a worry-wart. He got very concerned after a friend of ours was in a terrible car accident a few weeks ago and thankfully he is all right, but it could have been so much worse. So Fred, being the worry wart that he is, went out and bought me a Five Star Safety rated vehicle. I must say I LOVE it. It has all the bells and whistles. We have leather seats, satellite radio (which I am sure I will love for the three month trial period...Because I can't afford it afterwards), a six cd changer...(this I will use), and electric everything. The sucker drives like a dream...really. It is a Chevy Equinox. Nice, beautiful car, and I'm sure I'll be making homemade buttermilk biscuits for weeks because of it.
The holiday was wonderful. Spent it with my in laws...who happen to love Wood Chuck Cider now...(you know I converted them). Did a little Christmas shopping on Friday and I read a lot. Devoured the new Nora Roberts books "Blue Dahlia" which I loved, but really this is in keeping with her current style of books...with two more to come. The next installment is Black Rose...
My Mother in law was cleaning out things so I came home with an almost brand new set of Christmas Dishes...love them.
I am done with edits for Kiss from the Rose...I'm going to be reading through it the rest of the weekend and making sure I have tied up all the lose ends and checking for focus. It has morphed once again and is much more detailed and focused than the original version, but it is still a short story. I also got my cover art done by the wonderful Angela Knight. She is a very talented lady, and a great story teller.
Also I got my first royalty check. Now that was a nice surprise to come home to, even if it was small. But not to be underestimated as only my first short story is on sale at this time. A Kiss from the Rose will be the second and then Blood on the Moon will be the third.
Character Sheets: I'm back to working on the character sheets for the workshop. I need to expand, and Janie was kind enough to point out some inconsistencies that MUST be fixed. So I'll be working on those this week...
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and sorry I've been so out of pocket!!!
Hugs,
Michelle

Sounds like you are a busy woman!! Glad you had good holidays and the new car sounds really nice.
It's good to hear from you, kid.
I'm laughing and shaking me head here. Fred? There are TWO Freds? I really was beginning to wonder. Congrats on the SUV, Michelle. Sounds lovely. Glad the Holiday was enjoyable. I'll catch you on the list!
Grins,
