A new look

I have decided that I'm going to use this blog for my work blog. Some people like to read about writing and I'm half guessing they like to hear people bitch, because let's face it writing is not easy and bitching is contagious. We all feel a little better when we bitch. But I've kept this blog mainly because it was a place holder for my name. I've been down the road with blogger before with names and they get taken over by porn companies and whatever else, so long story short, I kept this one.

Now I have a use for it.

I'm going to be documenting plotting progress for now and writing progress later. Basically for accountability reasons, because neither of these books are contracted.

I've taken about a month and done some hard thinking about my writing work. While I have published three short stories in digital format, and they haven't done half bad, I want to pursue my dream. I'm not a young chicken any more. Neither of the books I'm currently plotting are romance. And that is by choice. Not that I have anything against romance because I definately don't. But my stories are plot heavy and frankly that doesn't always work in romance. The center of my story is not always about the hero and the heroine. Sometimes it's about life lessons. And other times it's about family and roots and things I love. Again, not romance. However, I do love a 'good' romance. So please feel free to give me some suggestions. I'm always game.

So with that thought in mind I wanted to change up my old blog and give it a new feel. I'm exciting about the challenges I'm going to face, and excited to write these new stories that are perculating in my brain.

I hope that you'll ride with me on this long journey. It would be nice to have some company...
