Oye...Today was one of those days when I would have loved a cigarette. I was up at the crack of dawn and out of the house soon after. Today was the big sales call day. Five customers over about a two hundred mile stretch. I used to smoke when I travelled. It eased the boredom of it all. Today? No cigarettes.
I tried cough drops--the menthal kind--didn't help
Coffee only made it worse
I ate half a bag of chocolate tootsie roll lollipops--still didn't help.
No. I didn't stop and grab a pack of cigarettes but if anyone within a hundred mile radius had offered me one I would have gladly taken it, inhaled and breathed a sigh of relief...
One tough day down.
